Intangible

After completing a particularly powerful and introspective session of reiki, I was inspired to create a piece symbolic of the strong positive energy I felt within myself during this session. I wanted to create an organic flow of pattern and colour, using another acrylic paint and metallic mediums. The colours and impressionistic brush strokes are representative of the dreamy trance like state I was in during this time. Modelling paste was applied on to one area, creating a sense of depth within the piece. There was no preplanning in this work as I wanted my intuition to lead me as I painted.
