Arran sunset is inspired by the amazing sunsets we have on the Ayrshire coast during the spring and summer. This is painted in water based oils and I have used a deep edge canvas as I prefer not to frame my work, I like the idea of my painting not being contained. If imagination is used the painting can be extended beyond the canvas by the viewer.
